DIY Rash Cream
Another product to help minimize the toxins in my life. I but this one together myself based on what I've learned from making a number of these natural products. The essential oils in this recipe are all anti-inflammatory. Give it a try.
2 tablespoons Shea butter
1 tablespoon olive oil steeped in dried calendula
1 tablespoon bees wax pellets
1 tablespoon baking soda
2 tablespoons bentonite clay
1 teaspoon witch hazel
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
10 drops peppermint essential oil
5 drops tea tree essential oil
5 drops chamomile essential oil
Put the Shea butter, olive oil and beeswax into a glass jar. Place in a pan with two inches of water. Bring to a boil to melt the wax. Stir to combine the ingredients.
Remove from the heat and add the baking soda, clay, witch hazel and vinegar. Add the oils. Put into glass jars.
Th clay and witch hazel are great for drawing out toxins. The vinegar can help sooth inflammation. Tea Tree oil is an anti-fungal and antibacterial to help healing. The chamomile is also a calming agent for itchy skin. The peppermint oil provides a cooling sensation to help stop pain and itching.
